Greater Atlanta Christian School Summer Camp Programs include activities such as Garden Camp, Flag Football, Acting Shakespeare, Ballet Boot Camp, and weekly field trips. GAC camps are described as places where active play, enriching experiences, and true relationships meet, with more than 30 summer enrichment programs in athletics, arts, academics, and fun. Summer camp is described as providing a balance of play and learning, meeting children’s need for downtime and time with peers in a safe, Christian environment.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: 7 weeks of camp, with extended hours available from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Price: $80 discount when GROW Day Camp and a 5-Day Specialty Camp are combined in the same week
GROW Day Camp is open exclusively to current GAC families, while Specialty Camps are open to all families. Weekly field trips are offered for GROW and THRIVE campers to explore the metro-Atlanta area. The program is supported by an incredible group of trained counselors and is part of a faith-infused, academically rich community at Greater Atlanta Christian School, an Infant–12th grade Christian school serving over 1,800 students. The leadership team includes GAC President Dr. Scott Harsh, and GAC is ranked at the top of the state for teaching quality, arts, and athletics. The Light the Way Campaign is transforming the campus with enhanced athletic facilities and innovative academic spaces. The mission of the program is to help each child grow as Jesus did, in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. One parent, Erica Pierre, shares that her son and daughter enjoy their camp experience at GROW Day Camp, mentioning the counselors’ contagious smiles in the mornings and fun times at the pool, and describing the camp as creating a fun and meaningful time for each child. The program also partners with the Upper Chattahoochee Chapter of Trout Unlimited, whose members assist students with releasing trout, lead activities, and share knowledge about trout and environmental conservation.
