Soccer Shots Savannah, GA is owned by Rachel Wright, with Tiffany Hensley-Cummings serving as Director and Autumn England as Program Coordinator. Rachel Wright has been working in Soccer Shots since 2015, played four years of collegiate soccer at Houghton College, played semi-professionally with the Lancaster Inferno, holds a Masters Degree in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania, and has coached soccer for children from age 2 up to junior college. Tiffany Hensley-Cummings has worked as a Nanny, Birth Doula, and Postpartum Doula for 15 years, has been playing adult recreational sports for 10 years, started as a Soccer Shots coach in 2018, and helped develop and launch the Empower Program in Savannah for children with special needs ages 3 and older. Autumn England began playing soccer in a recreational league at age 7, played in middle and high school including varsity, and played intramural soccer while earning a B.A. in English at Newberry College.
Soccer Shots was formed in 1997 and began franchising in 2005, and in May 2009 Justin Bredeman became the third Soccer Shots partner. There were over 560,000 enrollments in Soccer Shots programming in 2023. Each Soccer Shots coach must complete a comprehensive training program to receive certification, is trained in developmentally appropriate techniques, is routinely evaluated, and undergoes ongoing training. The coach selection process evaluates both the ability to coach soccer and the ability to engage and inspire children. The curriculum is expert-designed, age-appropriate, created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches, and aligns with early childhood education standards with an emphasis on character development and skill building.
