The After School Enrichment Program offers homework help for participants on weekday afternoons. The program also includes snacks and transportation as part of its daily routine.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Weekdays from 2:30–6:00 PM
• Price: $50/week
The program takes place within the Recreation Services Division of the Clayton County Parks & Recreation Department. The division’s mission is to cultivate a culture of healthy expressions and experiences through quality programs, facilities, amenities, and current safety practices. Leadership for the department includes Director Nicole Horne and Assistant Director Troy Stubbs, along with administrators and managers such as Recreation Administrator Nigel Grant and Park Administrator Ricardo Newman. Additional leadership roles include Deputy Administrator / Recreation Jimmie Jones, Deputy Administrator / Parks Ralph Turner Jr., Deputy Administrator / Greenspace Stephanie Berens, Athletics Administrator Koboi Simpson, Deputy Administrator / Athletics Sequellia Logan, and Payroll Specialist Sr./Administrative Services Torieon Moses. Recreation facility managers include Jessica Gilchrist for the Jim Huie/Steve Lundquist Center, Rakim Watson for the Carl Rhodenizer Recreation Center, Brittany Waller for the Lake Spivey Recreation Center, Jeryl Hadley for the Virginia Gray Recreation Center, and Jimmy Lovett for the South Clayton Recreation Center. Aquatic leadership includes Aquatic Administrator Jeramie Reeves and Aquatic Manager Vincent Mcpherson, and special services leadership includes Special Services Deputy Administrator Max Coria and Special Services Manager Joycelyn Eason. The department oversees the accreditation process (CAPRA) through the Commission of Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies with the National Recreation and Park Association.
