The Children’s Village

The Children’s Village offers a curriculum-based Summer Camp, a Before & After School Program, and daily music and motor skill programs. Children take part in theme-based activities, hands-on activities, and free-play activities. Every classroom is described as a safe, engaging space with age-appropriate, well-maintained materials, and the center offers nutritiously balanced meals that are sensitive to allergies, along with early drop-off and late pick-ups.

The Children’s Village is described as a Premier Early Childhood Learning Center that is safe, friendly, and caring, with a safe and nurturing environment, and it offers before and after school care. The program implements the Procare Early Learning Curriculum by Learning Beyond Paper, incorporates the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS), and uses The InvestiGator Club Curriculum for GA Lotto Pre-K. All learning experiences are linked to objectives that align with Georgia State standards, and the Summer Camp is described as curriculum-based.

The Children’s Village provides daily reports through the Procare Engagement App and shares monthly calendars of events and happenings. It offers a Nutritious Menu, emphasizes the importance of healthy eating for infants and preschoolers, and has a Nondiscrimination Policy, including a Disability Nondiscrimination Policy. Parents are encouraged and invited to visit at any time.

The Children’s Village teachers are described as highly trained and experienced in child care and education. The leadership team includes Mrs. (Denise) Charlene West and Mr. Tevin West, and Charlene West has been recognized as Best Boss in 2025 and 2026. The Children’s Village has served children and their families in the Richmond Hill and Bryan County area since 2006 and welcomes families from across Bryan County and the greater Savannah area.

The Children’s Village states that the first five years are the most influential in a child’s life and that loving relationships with warm, responsive, dependable adults are essential to a child’s healthy development. The program states that every child is treated individually and given a balance of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities, with hands-on activities that address the needs of the whole child physically, emotionally, and intellectually. It states that its goal is to prepare children with a good start and a lasting passion for education and that children thrive through hands-on experiences that support growth in academic, social, emotional, and physical areas, with a comprehensive early learning and childcare program that encourages age-appropriate skills through active participation.

The Children’s Village is described as Quality Rated and Child Care Aware Quality rated Child Care. It has won all five nominated categories for Best Of Bryan County 2026 and was the most voted business, including Best Childcare Center, Best Preschool, Best Private School, Best Place to Work, and Best Boss (Charlene West 2025 & 2026).
