About
Lionhearts Fitness offers youth fitness classes that include Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) training, Homeschool PE, and a variety of clinics and classes. Participants take part in activities such as obstacle course racing, fishing, art, theater, chess club, baseball camp, basketball, summer camps, and theater camps. The program also includes organized community service projects as a regular part of participation.

Lionhearts Fitness started in December 2018 as a mother and son endeavor and operates as Lionhearts Fitness & Youth Center. The leadership team includes Executive Director (Founder) shell, Athletic Director (Founder) OCRLuccketta, and Executive Director Assistant Stacie. The stated mission is to empower youth to face fears and conquer obstacles, know their worth, build self-worth, and become stronger physically, with a focus on team obstacle racing where no one is left out or left behind.
The program is built entirely by volunteers and is powered by community support, with a stated “No Phone Zone” and “No Bully Zone” with zero tolerance for bullying, no age or ability segregation, and an emphasis on team building with only a small branch of competition. Lionhearts Fitness is a celebrated nonprofit youth fitness community that has also branched out to include adult programs and is free to all youth with special credit given to sponsors such as Spartan, Race Ready Obstacles, Savage Race, Fitbar, and others.
Lionhearts Fitness requires monthly community service for membership, and participants have adopted a creek, fed the hungry, and provided blankets and jackets to local homeless individuals, among other projects. The organization serves North Georgia and East Tennessee and notes having Lionhearts athletes as far as the UK while remaining a small local foundation. It has partnerships and sponsorships from Savage Race founder Sam Abbitt and Spartan founder Joe De Sena to ensure that all Lionhearts race, and also partners with LegendBorne Sportswear, OCR Buddy, RaceReady Obstacles, and Fitbar Strong.
Lionhearts Fitness became the largest Spartan youth team in the world in just under a year. It was a finalist in the Chattanooga Best of the Best and, in December 2019, was up for four Best of the Best categories in North Georgia: Gym, Non Profit, Place to Take Your Kids, and Physical Trainer, winning first place for Best Place to Take Your Kids and Best Non Profit. The program is nationally recognized by elite athletes and adaptive athlete organizations, and Luccketta received an award at the New England OCR Expo for two consecutive years.
