Kiki's Kids Camp is a four-day summer camp where campers learn about nutrition, diabetes management, independence, and self-discipline. Campers learn from trained clinicians and volunteers throughout the camp session.
• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Schedule: Four-day summer camp
Kiki's Kids Camp is for youth between the ages of 6–12 who have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Teens aged 13–17 who have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes can attend as junior counselors or counselors-in-training.
Kiki's Kids Camp is funded by a planned gift from the estate of the late Angelique (Kiki) Petropole, a Rome pediatric nurse who had diabetes. The gift from the estate of Angelique (Kiki) Petropole continues to fund the camp and the purchase of diabetes supplies for children in need.
