WinShape Camps for Communities includes daily activities such as Rec, Team Time, Village Rally, Snack City, Skill 1, Lunch, Worship, Skill 2, and Power Surge. Campers take part in daily worship, music, prayer, and devotions as part of the program. Campers completing grades K5–5th participate in a mix of indoor and outdoor moments, physical activity, and creative play, with age-specific activities and content.
• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: One-week session, Monday–Thursday with daily drop-off at 8:15 am and pick-up at 5:00 pm
• Price: One-Week Session Rate $275
The daily schedule from Monday through Thursday begins with 8:15 am Check In and Village Training, followed by 8:50 am Wake Up!, 9:35 am Rec!, 10:35 am Team Time, 11:10 am Village Rally and Snack City, 11:25 am Skill 1, 12:20 pm Village Rally, 12:35 pm Lunch, 1:20 pm Worship, 2:15 pm Team Time, 3:00 pm Village Rally and Snack City, 3:15 pm Skill 2, 4:10 pm Village Rally, 4:25 pm Power Surge, and 5:00 pm Check Out. Families provide lunch while the camp provides snacks, and meals and snack times are nut free, with snacks containing any nuts returned to the camper at the end of the session or week. All campers are required to submit a current physical and a current immunization record, uploaded to the camper’s CampDoc Medical Health Profile. The program includes a Chick-fil-A Family Lunch on Friday and is described as a nut-aware camp with meals and snack times nut free.
WinShape Camps for Communities is a faith-based camp centered around Jesus, with a mission to glorify God by creating experiences that transform campers and families with the message of Jesus Christ. Campers experience camp activities during the day and sleep at home at night, with a refreshed experience every year. WinShape Camps launched its first overnight camp in 1985 and began its first overnight camp over 40 years ago on the campus of Berry College in Rome, Georgia, and was founded by S. Truett Cathy. WinShape Camps offers overnight camp, family camp, and day camp experiences, including 4 overnight camp experiences in Georgia and 75+ day camp experiences across the U.S., engaging over 30,000 campers each summer. Over 800 professionally trained Summer Staff represent 100 different colleges and universities from 30+ states.
Summer Staff are recruited from college campuses nationwide through an extensive application process and a 30-minute face-to-face interview. Once hired, all Summer Staff complete a background check and safety training and then participate in a week of intentional development from experts. WinShape Camps for Communities brings a day camp model into local neighborhoods, and WinShape Camps International works with local churches and communities outside the United States to offer locally led day camp experiences in Brazil and Costa Rica with the message of Jesus Christ.
