Camp Kingfisher at Chattahoochee Nature Center takes place on a 127-acre site that includes trails, gardens, wildlife, and hands-on experiences connected to the Chattahoochee River and the watershed it sustains. The program is based within a nature center that features wildlife and opportunities for direct, hands-on interaction with the natural environment.
• Schedule: Open Monday–Saturday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Sunday, 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
• Price: General admission is $20 for adults, $16 for seniors ages 65 and older, $16 for students ages 13–18, $14 for children ages 3–12, and free for children ages 2 and under
The Wildlife Department staff at the Chattahoochee Nature Center hold state and federal licenses to rehabilitate only injured birds of prey, reptiles, and amphibians. Families can take part in the broader community by volunteering, attending a fundraiser or festival, supporting environmental education, or helping care for the wildlife and habitats at the center.
