The mission of Chattahoochee Nature Center Programs is to connect people with nature. The Wildlife Department staff hold state and federal licenses to rehabilitate only injured birds of prey, reptiles, and amphibians. Community members can get involved through fundraisers, festivals, support for wildlife and environmental education programs, and volunteer opportunities. For Halloween Hikes and Family Fun Day, vendors and exhibitors receive one six-foot table and two chairs on request, must use environmentally friendly materials instead of Styrofoam or similar non-biodegradable products, and must offer information, activities, or goods that match each event’s specific themes and guidelines.
