About
High Meadows Camp offers a rich, traditional outdoor day camp program on a beautiful 42-acre property of woods and meadows. Programs include a variety of experiences based on themes inspired by early American pioneering, Native American lore, and medieval legends. The camp follows a structured, noncompetitive recreational program while fostering a caring, nurturing, and child-centered community with a focus on self-improvement and personal responsibility, along with understanding and respect for the environment.
• Ages: 5–14 years old (campers are rising kindergarten to rising 9th grade; campers must be 5 years old at the start of their registered session)
• Schedule: Three-week sessions, with camp hours from 9:00 AM (carpool begins) to 4:00 PM (carpool begins)
High Meadows Camp has been established since 1973. The High Meadows community celebrates and perpetuates each individual’s quest for knowledge and skill, sense of wonder, and connection to the natural environment, and empowers each to be a compassionate, responsible, and active global citizen. The camp’s leadership team includes John Dovic, Camp Director, and Chad Brinker, Associate Camp Director, and there are two full-time employees in the Camp/After School Enrichment Program office, including the Camp Director and Associate Director. Online registration for 2026 is closed and the camp is no longer adding to the waiting list, and registration for 2027 will begin in early January.
A current camp parent reports that their children have been attending High Meadows Camp for over a decade and that it is consistently a highlight of their summers, noting that their children have built community and confidence, made lasting friendships with peers and counseling staff, enjoyed being part of camp traditions, learned new skills, and had adventures they will remember for a lifetime.
