About
Youth & Family Art Programs include Drop-In Studio artmaking projects for all ages and a Veterans Open Studio with guidance in drawing and painting from an experienced instructor. The program also offers family drop-in art activities inspired by the CAM exhibition The World of William O. Golding, a nautical art activity in the CAM family lounge, and Artful Tales Storytime in the Telfair Children's Art Museum located at the Jepson Center.
• Schedule: Drop-In Studio every Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 2pm; Veterans Open Studio on August 1 from 1pm–4pm; CAM Art à la Carte on August 5 from 10:30am–12pm; Artful Tales Storytime every Friday at 10:30am
In celebration of Telfair Museums’ 140th anniversary, Youth & Family Art Programs take place within three museums that bridge 200 years of art, history, and architecture in Savannah. Telfair offers a diverse array of contemporary art, fine and decorative art, and authentic Savannah history, and its three unique sites present adventures through art, history, and architecture. Off the Coast of Paradise: Artists and Ossabaw Island, 1961–Now is the first major exhibition there to explore the impact of Ossabaw Island on artists working in the United States, and A Seat at the Table is a solo exhibition that includes a site-specific mural. Veterans Open Studio is open to all veterans.
