Praada Academy offers music, voice, orchestra, theater, drawing, and dance, including Modern Dance and African Dance. The program also includes voice classes and theater production. Praada Academy will provide a functional arts library and a voice recording studio for student use.

Praada Academy Schools Inc. is an arts non-profit supporting educational advancement and cultural diversity in the community, with a primary mission to foster a love of learning in each student. Its curriculum weaves artistic and practical disciplines into everyday academics and follows a K–12 vision to educate, inspire, diversify, and challenge children from kindergarten through twelfth grade through differentiated learning. The academy is described as a scholastic and preparatory academy providing quality education to America’s youth and reaching out to students with special needs and talents, with a keen emphasis on theater, literature, science, and math. It focuses more on the individual rather than the group, uses peer/mentor support groups, and takes traditional learning to an individualized level. The program develops interpersonal skills used for effective learning and offers outlets for those interested in many forms of art and art appreciation, including Art, Modern Dance, African Dance, Voice classes, and Theater production. Praada Academy provides a low-cost/no-cost learning environment, offers intensives “camps,” and provides training and trade courses for children and residents in surrounding areas. It provides a functional arts library and voice recording studio and offers a low student/teacher ratio, as well as ways for parents to sit on the board, volunteer in the classroom, and have a voice in the community.

Praada Inc. started in 1973 and has been in existence for over three decades. Praada Inc. began when founder Pat Rosby had a vision coupled with a strong desire to reach the world through performance art, and PRAADA is an acronym for Pat Rosby Armstead’s Academy of Dramatic Arts. Patricia Rosby (1946–2006) incorporated Praada Inc. in San Mateo, California with Emanuel Armstead (1946–2006) and Sam Carter. Sonya is described as an educational innovator and non-profit expert, and the founder of several schools and learning centers. Sonya has a BA in Theater and Creative Writing from the University of California, Riverside, and a Masters of Education Degree in Special Education/cross categorical, has worked in the educational field for more than 25 years, and has worked with nonprofits since 2006.

Praada Academy Inc. teams up with many community supporters and volunteers. Praada Academy Inc. will serve as a community resource center for the greater Atlanta, Georgia; Los Angeles, California; and Tampa, Florida areas.
