Praada Academy Schools Inc. is an arts non-profit supporting educational advancement and cultural diversity in the community. Its primary mission is to foster a love of learning in each student. The vision of Praada Academy K-12 is to educate, inspire, diversify, and challenge children from kindergarten through the twelfth grade through differentiated learning, to provide them a safe, creative and effective learning environment, and through exploration help each child become a successful individual in a global economy. Praada Academy desires to help students achieve their goals by continuing education and increasingly expanding their knowledge to transition each student to a path of progress through establishing charter schools and alternative education. The curriculum weaves artistic and practical disciplines into everyday academics and places a keen emphasis on theater, literature, science, and math. The program reaches out to students with special needs and talents, focuses more on the individual rather than the group, and uses peer/mentor support groups. Praada Academy hopes to be a second chance school developing creative cognitive confidence, seeks to break economic barriers and create a level playing ground for education, and provides outlets for those interested in all forms of art and art appreciation. It has created a unique learning model that scaffolds knowledge acquisition in academic subjects through metamorphic stages via performance arts and offers intensives “camps” as a means for children to engage in their own learning empowerment. Praada Academy is described as a scholastic and preparatory academy providing quality education to America's youth and has a proven track record in Southern California of helping students learn to read and enter/qualify for college.
