About
KidzQuest Children's Retreat includes worship sessions, time to study God's Word, and teaching about what a relationship with Jesus really means. The program schedule lists devotions, church time, a church group talent show with talent show practice, pool time when weather allows, games outside led by camp staff, late night fun, and a group photo. Adult leader orientation is also part of the planned activities.
• Ages: 8–12 years old
• Schedule: September 25–27, 2026, with programmed activities from Friday evening through Sunday late morning
• Price: Cost: $190 per person (in South GA Conference UMC) and $210 per person (out of South GA Conference UMC) - includes meals, cabin lodging, insurance, t-shirt and programming.
KidzQuest Children’s Retreat is described as the annual children’s fall retreat sponsored by South Georgia’s Connectional Ministries for students in 3rd–6th grades. The event is led by Camp & Retreat Director Suzanne Akins and is a Safe Sanctuaries compliant event. All adult chaperones must be Safe Sanctuaries certified, and church groups receive an Adult Leaders Guide in their packet at check-in, along with access to an Adult Leader Q&A Info Zoom. Children and adult leaders from around the state and beyond attend with church groups, and the schedule includes free time for groups to enjoy the island as part of the programming.
