Summer Day Camp

Summer Day Camp includes activities such as swim lessons, water safety, youth sports, and group exercise. The program takes place at a YMCA facility that also offers access to an outdoor pool and waterpark, an indoor pool, an indoor track, a gymnasium, a climbing wall, a wellness center, family locker rooms, and a play center with childcare.

The Wade Walker Park Family YMCA has served the greater DeKalb community for more than 10 years. The YMCA of Metro Atlanta states that, reflecting its Judeo-Christian heritage, it is an association of volunteers, members, and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body, and that financial assistance is available based on need, with an active effort to identify and involve those in need. The Wade Walker Park Family YMCA partners with county commissioners, the DeKalb Police Department, the DeKalb Health Department, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, and other local businesses and partners to support and advance local initiatives and programs. The Y states that it offers a safe, inclusive environment welcoming individuals and families of diverse cultures, faiths, and nationalities, and it also offers hunger relief programs.
