RUSH Ministries Camps and Events offers camps and events that include outdoor activities, concerts, and community involvement. The program also includes local missions and overseas mission work, and uses features such as a pavilion, ropes course, and ziplines during its events.
R.U.S.H. stands for “Reaching Unchurched Students for Him” and was organized in 2004 as a weekend event held in Lagrange, Georgia with a few local churches. In 2009, it grew into an event partnered with Truett Cathy’s The Rock Ranch in The Rock, Georgia, and later grew into what they describe as the premiere gathering of students for the purpose of worshiping God. In 2015, RUSH “ONEDAY” was hosted at their newly purchased property in Meansville, Georgia, with almost 9,000 in attendance and nearly 1,000 decisions made for Christ.
The stated mission of RUSH Ministries Camps and Events is to make a difference in the life of a child through camps, outdoor activities, concerts, and community involvement, and then to inspire those same individuals to become leaders and make a difference in their community. The mission also states a purpose to make a difference in the lives of families, businesses, and individuals, with a goal to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to reach the next generation. Their ministry is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) ministry and they state that they solely rely on sponsors for each of their events.
Community involvement is described as a top priority, with a focus on reaching the next generation in local communities as a way to build a successful and healthy community. Along with their own events, R.U.S.H. helps individuals and churches create and promote events around the Southeast and assists others in making their events a success “for the kingdom.” Another stated focus of the R.U.S.H. team is overseas mission work.
