Camp Mikell is the Camp and Conference Center of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, Georgia, and was established in 1941 by the Right Reverend Henry Judah Mikell, Bishop of Atlanta. Its mission is to build a community of belonging, safety, discovery, spiritual growth, and unconditional love in a natural setting through a faith-based summer camp for children and youth, an outdoor education center for school groups, and a conference center for gatherings and retreats. The program is accredited by the American Camp Association. Camp Mikell includes one of the only folk schools in Georgia, The Allan Folk School at Mikell, and the Blue Ridge Outdoor Education Center program, which offers hands-on environmental education for school classes, church groups, and others. The leadership team includes Jessica “Jessi” LeFiles (Executive Director), Amanda Segers Price (Operations Director & Conference Reservations), Anna Dinwiddie (Program Director), Linda Bohannon (Foodservice Director), Kerri Merritt (Head of Housekeeping), and Alex Mastej (Facilities Director). Camp Mikell serves people of all ages in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and its parishes, as well as other groups whose purposes complement its mission.
