About
Burke County Family YMCA Youth Programs include after school child care, summer day camps, and a variety of youth programs. Children can take part in activities connected to the outdoor pool and water park, including lap swimming, recreation and swim instruction, and use of water slides, splash pad, and lazy river. The program also operates within a facility that offers group exercise classes, personal training, Play & Learn child care, and access to an outdoor track.
• Schedule: Branch, pool and water park, and Play & Learn child care hours are available on weekdays and weekends, with seasonal water park use from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day.
The Burke County Family YMCA water park is available to members from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, and is open for the season until September 7, 2026. Burke County Family YMCA opened in 2019 as a 20,000 square foot facility that includes a spinning theater, perimeter walking trail, community meeting room, free weights, machine weights, a state-of-the-art fitness center, an outdoor pool and water park, a large lap and recreation pool with 6 lap swim lanes, a kiddie pool with additional water features, a relaxing lazy river, a large deck with shade features and a picnic area, and restrooms in the pool area plus locker room access inside the facility. The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta has a 168-year legacy of service in the C.S.R.A. and operates programs and services at more than 50 CSRA locations, including 9 program and wellness facilities and Camp Lakeside. The nonprofit’s community work includes the PrimeTime Afterschool program at 27 elementary schools, 19 summer camp sites, operations in 8 counties, providing 2,100 beds through the A Place To Dream Program since 2017, and 4,000,000 meals through Cheryl’s Kitchen Food Program. The leadership team connected to Burke County YMCA includes Craig Miracle as Senior Vice President, Charlie Prescott as District Vice President, and April Parker as Executive Director, Burke County YMCA.
