• Ages: 4–15 years old
Club SciKidz was established in 1997. The program’s unique science programs are designed to meet the needs of children ages 4–15, with over 70 themed science summer camps for grades PK–8th in the Atlanta Metro area and weekly STEM summer camps in Atlanta. Each unit is rigorously researched by science educators with the help of teachers and children, and the lessons engage students in observation, measurement, identification of properties, and experimentation involving life, earth, and physical science concepts.
Owners Bob and Sue Hagan lead the program and have a combined 30 plus years of teaching experience, and both hold a Master’s Degree in Education. The stated mission is that Club SciKidz was founded on the principle that parents want to provide their children with exciting, challenging, and life impacting academic enrichment experiences. Club SciKidz operates multiple summer day camp locations each year in Georgia, conducts in-school programs in the Metro Atlanta area, and also operates franchise locations across the United States.
Club SciKidz has STEM.org Recognition of Club SciKidz. Parent comments include statements such as “Fun! Lots of fun and kind, caring staff! My son came home happy and well entertained,” and “My daughter learned so much and had a blast. The teenagers/young adults that facilitated the activities were GREAT!” Other parents reported that their children “loved the variety of activities, the fun experiments, and the interaction with the other kids and counselors,” and one family noted, “Our kids went to five different camps last summer and this was our favorite.” Additional feedback describes “safe environment, fun activities, great hours,” “lots of unique activities, organized and well run,” and appreciation for “getting to know the teachers and the director” and that “everyone was incredibly thoughtful and caring.”
