Child Care & Camp includes Kids Zone, where childcare is provided while parents work out and is free with Y family membership. It also offers infant through preschool care with learning activities, school-age before- and after-school care with learning, imaginative, and physical activities, Summer Day Camp with half-day programs and sports clinics, and Des Moines Y Camp with horseback riding, swimming, ropes, kayaking, and the arts.

- Infant through Preschool — Early care with enriching, developmentally appropriate learning activities that support cognitive, social, physical, and emotional growth.
- School Age — Before- and after-school care with learning, imaginative, and physical activities.
- Summer Day Camp — Summer day camps plus half-day programs, sports clinics, and more each summer.
- Des Moines Y Camp — Overnight camp with activities like horseback riding, swimming, ropes, kayaking, and the arts.
