About the provider

The Freedom Youth Foundation has been serving youth since 2011. Its mission is to transform the lives of children in foster care, and it says it provides sports clinics, financial literacy education, mentorship, employment training, Parkers Closet, and unique experiences. The foundation also says it offers free sports clinics and unique experiences, financial literacy and employment training workshops, and Parkers Closet.

Sports & Engagement Scholarships are currently focused on youth who are able to participate in in-person engagement in the Treasure Valley. Scholarships are awarded to the individual youth, not to a foster, kinship, or adoptive family. If a youth experiences a placement change or returns to their biological family while receiving scholarship support, Freedom Youth Foundation must be notified. Funds are distributed directly to approved institutions, service providers, or vendors whenever possible; if direct payment is not possible, reimbursement is made after receipts are provided.
