Studio C Academy of Dance

Studio C Academy of Dance offers Baby Bee Bop, Fairytale 1, and Fairytale 2 classes for preschoolers. It also offers Primary Ballet/Jazz, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Pre-Pointe and Pointe, Acro Classes, Private Lessons, Rental Space, and Team classes.

Programs

• Baby Bee Bop — 2-3 · 30 minute class for preschoolers. Students will learn creative movement, ballet and jazz, plus classroom etiquette.
• Fairytale 1 — 3-4 · 45 minute class for preschoolers. Students will learn creative movement, ballet and jazz, plus classroom etiquette.
• Fairytale 2 — 4-5 · 45 minute class for preschoolers. Students will learn creative movement, ballet and jazz, plus classroom etiquette.
• Primary Ballet/Jazz — 5-7 · Morning and afternoon sessions are offered. · 45 minute class for kindergarten and 1st grade students. Students will learn both ballet and jazz technique.
• Jazz — K-1st grade; 2nd-4th grade; 3rd-5th grade; 6th grade and up · Students will focus on jazz technique such as kick, leaps, turns and jazz choreography.
• Ballet — 2nd-4th grade; 3rd-5th grade; 6th grade and up · Students will focus on classical ballet technique at the ballet barre, center and across the floor.
• Pre-Pointe and Pointe — Designed for upper level ballet students who wish to eventually dance on Pointe. Teacher approval required. Students must also be enrolled in 3 upper level ballet classes.
• Hip Hop — K-1st grade; 2nd-4th grade; 3rd-5th grade; 6th grade and up · Designed to increase rhythmic and coordination skills. Students will focus on fun upbeat combinations. Ballet and/or jazz technique is not taught in this class.
• Acro Classes
• Team classes — By audition only.

About the provider

Studio C Academy of Dance is led by Carol Fipps. Season 31 begins September 8, 2026, and the first day of classes is September 8, 2026. The program lists a mission statement that says Studio C is "the only place to be where each and every dancer is special" and that it aims to make the dance experience positive, rewarding, and fun. It is also a certified Acrobatic Arts studio.

Baggy t-shirts, PJ pants, and boxer shorts are not allowed in ballet or jazz classes. Cover ups such as leg warmers and sweats may be worn for the first 5-10 minutes of class. Students not dressed appropriately may be asked to sit and watch class. Dress code varies by class. Teacher approval is required for Pre-Pointe and Pointe. Students must also be enrolled in 3 upper level ballet classes for Pre-Pointe and Pointe. Students must be enrolled in a ballet class to take acro class. Team classes are by audition only.
