• Schedule: AYS holds public meetings with the board every third Wednesday of each month.
Addison Youth Sports is an evolved association of the Addison Recreation Club, which has operated for over 60 years and has provided the Addison community with youth sports programs and events. In 2020, Addison Girls Sports Program (AGSP) joined Addison Youth Sports in a joint venture to be Addison's premier youth sports organization. In the early 1960s, the Page family was instrumental in starting youth sports in Addison, and in dedication to their brother Wayne, Addison alumni attend and donate to a yearly golf outing to raise funds for Addison charities.
Addison Youth Sports was officially founded as a Non-Profit Organization 501(c)3. Its mission statement is: “Providing the Addison community and its participants the athletic platform to be complete student athletes on and off the field.” Every member of Addison Youth Sports is a volunteer, which helps keep costs low and allows the organization to reinvest into the programs.
The leadership team includes Michael Haag (President / Philanthropy Development Director), Luis Rodriguez (Secretary / Boy's Basketball Commissioner), Dan Medina (Director / Baseball & Softball Director), Margarita Look (Vice President / Volleyball Director), Eddie Castillo (Director / Softball Commissioner), Ken Carlson (Relationships Director), David Wagner (Treasurer / Technology Director), Mike Clementi (Director / Travel Baseball Commissioner), and Joe Bucaro (Director / Girl's Basketball Commissioner).
The Addison Youth Sports site is built on the SportsEngine framework and is powered by SportsEngine's Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software, and the website is owned by and subject to the Addison Youth Sports privacy policy.
