About

Hot Ground Gym Day Camps include obstacle courses, rope courses, teambuilding “missions,” “target practice” hand-eye games, relay races, outside time when weather allows, buddy drills with teammates, and basic construction skills. Camp days blend high and low-octane activities and start with an obstacle course and mission, along with HGG Games and skills sessions. The same obstacle course classes, teambuilding events, and birthday parties that run at Hot Ground Gym are part of the overall program offerings.

• Ages: 6–14 years old
• Schedule: Leadership Summer Camp runs for 8 weeks starting in June, offered by the week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm; extended care is available from 7:00–8:00am and 4:30–5:30pm

Hot Ground Gym Day Camps include Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer camps, as well as camp days during summer, spring, and winter breaks and some no-school days during the school year. Full-day and half-day (AM or PM) options are available for all camps except the Leadership Summer Camp, which is enrolled by the week. No-school camps run for most national holidays and some localized school closures, and the Leadership Summer Camp is offered in a “small-unit” team environment.

Hot Ground Gym’s camp philosophy states that every child has an innate potential that can be unleashed through a blend of physical activities, skill development, character-building exercises, and teamwork. The mission statement explains that Hot Ground Gym provides physical, mental, and character-developing activities that enrich kids and prepare them to confront life’s challenges, with a goal for campers to leave with increased confidence, new skills, a sense of accomplishment, and strong memories. The program targets physical, mental, and character growth during key childhood development stages and focuses on skills such as resilience, cooperation, perseverance, and leadership traits.

Hot Ground Gym was founded in 2013 and is owned by military veterans and former first responders, along with teachers who have dedicated their lives to the betterment of children in the communities they serve. The organization describes itself as a first-of-its-kind gym for kids, combining indoor obstacle courses, teambuilding missions, target practice hand-eye coordination games, and life skills into one experience, using obstacle course-based fitness and teambuilding challenges.

Parent reviews describe Hot Ground Gym as a place where children work on mental and physical abilities while earning badges, follow a weekly curriculum that includes strength, confidence, and team building, and participate in well-organized birthday parties. Reviewers mention staff who connect with kids, get them moving, thinking, problem solving, and working together, and keep them engaged and smiling. Multiple parents report that their children enjoyed birthday parties and events so much that they wanted to return regularly, and one parent notes that the skill building, exercise, rule following, respect, and teamwork make the place exceptional.
