Beardstown Park District Youth Programs

Beardstown Park District Programs include summer camps, children and adult classes, and organized baseball, softball, and soccer. The programs take place across several community parks and facilities that feature a sports complex, tennis court, disk golf course, walking trail, and a state-of-the-art gymnasium. Many summer camps are offered, and youth are hired during the summer months to support park district activities.

Beardstown Community Park District was incorporated in 1954. The district includes Elks, Kiwanias, Schmoldt, Mile 88, and Roy Roberts Parks, as well as picnic areas, historical Looking for Lincoln sites, and Roy Roberts Park with a fishing pond. The district has grown from town parks totaling 32 acres at incorporation to 5 parks totaling 100 acres and a community center providing year round programs and activities. Much of the park district’s facilities have been made possible through volunteers and donations from the community. The park district is led by Deion Summers, Park District Director.
