Camp Manitowa

Camp Manitowa is a traditional summer camp and retreat destination that offers coed overnight summer camp programs, school and youth retreats, corporate and nonprofit retreats, lakefront recreation, and high-adventure programming. The program also offers unique overnight stays in yurts and cabins, including Mammoth Cabin, Cedar Point Yurts, Little Red Cabin, Big Muddy Cabin, Saluki Cabin, Shady Rest Cabin, Green Lodge, Sassy Sadie Camper, and the White House, along with access to camp activities, waterfront recreation, and nearby woods. A Camp Canteen store on site offers classic camp apparel and keepsakes inspired by tradition, community, and life near Rend Lake.

Founded in 2010, Camp Manitowa describes its mission as being rooted in tradition, community, and outdoor adventure, and built around community, character, and shared adventure. The organization states that every program is grounded in intentional leadership, safety, and a culture that values belonging. Camp Manitowa serves families and groups throughout Southern Illinois and beyond and hosts youth summer camp programs, family retreats, school groups, scout groups, yoga weekends, corporate and nonprofit retreats, and private events. It operates as a year-round retreat center and offers tours by appointment.
