Bishop Hill School of Folk Art Classes include regular classes in storytelling, creative writing, and a wide array of visual arts and traditional crafts. Activities range from barn quilts to mosaics, along with other traditional crafts and visual arts projects.
• Schedule: Open Friday–Sunday from 11am–4pm
The program is part of a collective of visual and performing artists dedicated to the promotion of community and creativity, with a primary goal of providing a space for creative individuals to foster creativity and a better quality of life for friends and neighbors. It works with artists in town and the regional home school alliance and offers workshops to refine skills or learn a new craft. The Bishop Hill School of Folk Art is connected with a non-profit music venue and artist cooperative that also hosts concerts at The Commons, maintains a gallery with fine art and traditional crafts made by local artists, and offers event hosting for events, weddings, conferences, or family gatherings.
