About

Bloomingdale Park District Summer Camp includes crafts, cooking, sports, science experiments, fitness, hikes, swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor time, group games, and other games and activities. Campers take part in special events, field trips, and exciting trips, and the Park District provides each camper with project and activity supplies for special projects. Participants relax and cool off at The Oasis Water Park on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, weather permitting, and Wednesdays are field trip days, including up to two walking field trips, weather permitting, to the Bloomingdale Public Library, Westlake Park, and nearby restaurants.

• Schedule: Summer Camp runs June 9–August 8, with camp from 8:30AM–3:30PM and extended care available 7–8:30AM and 3:30–6PM; registration deadlines are 11:59PM on the Monday of the week prior to attending.
• Price: Camp Weekly $218R/$243NR; Camp Daily (M,Tu,Th,F) $48R/$53NR; Wednesday $55R/$60NR; Top Dog Fee Camp Weekly $255R/$280NR; Top Dog Camp Daily $57R/$62NR; AM Care $12R/$14NR per day; PM Care $18R/$20NR per day; one-time, non-refundable registration fee $25R/$30NR per camp.

Registration for Summer Camp 2025 begins Wednesday, April 16 at 10AM online and in person for residents and April 23 for non-residents, and cancellations and changes must be completed before the registration deadline. Weekly themes are listed for June 9–13 through August 4–8, and camp groups are based on the age a child will be as of September 1, 2025. Participant ePACT profiles must be completed online for each participant before the start of camp, and all attendees are escorted to and from Sunrise/Sunset Extended Care by camp counselors. Campers should bring a lunch, two snacks, swimsuit, sunscreen, water bottle, towel, and gym shoes each day, and there is no pickup window on field trip days.

For inclusion services, WDSRA requires enrollment for the entire summer (AM Care, Camp, and PM Care) to be completed by May 2 to ensure a spot in camp, and services will only be rendered if reasonable accommodations can be made. The Bloomingdale Park District states that it strives to efficiently and economically provide recreation programs, facilities, and open space for enjoyable leisure time experiences that benefit the community.

Bloomingdale Park District has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the NRPA National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management (2006) and the Illinois Distinguished Agency designation. It has also received the 2019 Daily Herald Reader’s Choice Top Pick for Best Summer Camp and the 2022 Daily Herald Readers’ Choice Award for Summer Camp, along with numerous IAPD and IPRA awards for facilities, programs, partnerships, volunteers, staff, and community impact from 1999 through 2025. Community recognitions include several Best of Bloomingdale awards, Character Counts! awards, and the 2024 VFW Continuous Support for Veterans and Veteran Families acknowledgment.
