Participants are escorted to and from Sunrise/Sunset Extended Care by camp counselors, and the Park District provides project and activity supplies for special projects while campers bring a lunch, two snacks, swimsuit, sunscreen, water bottle, towel, and gym shoes each day.

The Bloomingdale Park District states that it strives to efficiently and economically provide recreation programs, facilities, and open space for leisure time experiences that benefit the community. The agency is a proud recipient of the National Gold Medal Award (2006), was an Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency from 2005–2010, and received the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce Best of Bloomingdale Award for Not for Profit in 2017 and 2018. For inclusion services, WDSRA requires enrollment for the entire summer (AM Care, Camp, and PM Care) to be completed by May 1 to ensure a spot in camp.
