Evergreen Racquet Club Junior Programs include tennis, pickleball, and racquetball, along with lessons, clinics, leagues, and personal training. The programs also feature a Summer Junior Academy, pickleball clinics, and Match Play at the Snyder Pavilion for grade school and junior high players.

• Schedule: Club hours effective September 1, 2025 are Monday–Thursday 8:00 am–10:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am–8:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am–4:00 pm, and Sunday 8:00 am–8:00 pm.
• Price: Adult and family memberships are available April 1 at half price with rates of $100 for singles.

Evergreen Racquet Club Junior Programs take place at a state-of-the-art tennis center that has 12 courts, an aerial viewing lounge, full locker room facilities, a fitness center, and a racquetball court, with courts available for group play and a full line of lessons, clinics, and leagues in an indoor facility usable no matter the weather. The club offers live stream and scoreboard features and a Virtual Club Tour.

The leadership team includes General Manager Colleen Curran; Assistant Manager Bridget Larkin; USPTA Pro and Head Professional Matt Runyan, who is also Director of Junior Programs; USPTA Pro Bob Runyan; USPTA Pro Joe Totten; tennis pros Jeff Brumleve and Ed Rozboril; USPTA Pro Roger Juers; teaching professional Megan Rozboril; and Pickleball Teaching Professional Kat Smalley. Colleen Curran is a life-long tennis player who played four years for the University of Illinois and worked in marketing management at IBM for 15 years. Matt Runyan is a USPTA Pro who played tennis at Indiana State University, has worked as the Director of Tennis in Danville, has coached high school tennis, is Head Tennis Professional at Bloomington Country Club, serves as President of the Bloomington Normal Tennis Association, and is Director and Creator of Match Play at the Snyder Pavilion for grade school and junior high players. Joe Totten is a USPTA Pro who attended Lincoln Christian College, has coached high school and collegiate tennis, has been a Youth Minister at his church, has worked at Evergreen Racquet Club since 2006, and is an assistant coach at Illinois Wesleyan University. Roger Juers is a USPTA Pro who won the 1992 doubles state championship for Normal Community High School, played at Illinois State University, won a national championship in 2013 for his USTA 9.0 Mixed team, has been a tennis pro at Evergreen Racquet Club since 1996, and coaches both the boys’ and girls’ tennis teams at Normal Community High School. Kat Smalley has been a pickleball player and enthusiast since 2014, has earned a Level II Instructor certification through the IPTPA, and was the first female in Illinois to achieve a USAPA 5.0 rating.

Evergreen Racquet Club was founded in 1972 by a group of tennis enthusiasts. Colleen Curran’s stated philosophy is that tennis is a “life sport” to be enjoyed and loved by people of all ages, levels, and experience. Evergreen Racquet Club hosts indoor matches for Redbird tennis teams, and Matt Runyan serves as President of the Bloomington Normal Tennis Association. The facility has received recognition including USTA Facility of the Year and a US OPEN Award.
