About
Acting Out Theatre Company Summer Stock focuses on summer stock theatre and environmental theatre. Participants work on producing summer shows, including theatre in unexpected places and transforming ordinary locations into temporary live theatre spaces. The program has included producing Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods in the woods at Perry Farm in the summer of 2011 and working on the re-enactment portion of A Night in Sleepy Hollow.

Acting Out Theatre Company was born on December 13, 2010 as a nonprofit community theatre company that believes that all the world’s a stage. Board members have expertise in areas including business, dance, artistic design, graphic arts, carpentry, music education and performance, accounting, and public relations. The organization has worked with Bourbonnais Township Park District to produce the re-enactment portion of A Night in Sleepy Hollow each October from 2011 to 2019, with support from community partners for sponsorships, rehearsal space, and stage construction.
