Brimfield JFL offers flag football, tackle football, and cheerleading. Flag football players practice in shorts and T-shirts, and tackle football players spend the first two weeks in helmets only with no pads, also in shorts and T-shirts.
• Schedule: Flag football practice starts August 11, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for the first four weeks, then continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the rest of the season. Tackle football practices run Monday through Thursday.
Brimfield JFL states that it provides a recreational, educational, and competitive program by structuring player ages and weights to account for different physical and mental maturity levels, and it is dedicated to the safety and enjoyment of the young athletes who participate. The program is affiliated with the Junior Football League of Central Illinois (JFLOCI), which partners with local high schools to host yearly training clinics for first-year coaches and an online clinic for all coaches. Brimfield JFL is a proud member of JFLOCI and notes that its teams were 2021 JFL champions at the 10U, 11U, and 14U levels.
