Broadview Park District Youth Programs offers a Youth Boxing Program, an Intro to Theater & Film program, and beginner piano lessons. The Youth Boxing Program is led by Coach China, the Intro to Theater & Film program is led by Magnified Gift Theater, and beginner piano lessons are taught by music teacher Sophia Carter. The Broadview Park District also runs the Broadview Fightn’s inaugural season in the Professional Softball League.
• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Youth Boxing Program meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings in 5-week sessions; Intro to Theater & Film meets Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in a 5-week session from Oct. 18 to Nov. 15; beginner piano lessons are offered at 4:15, 5:00, and 5:45 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
• Price: Youth Boxing Program cost is $60; Intro to Theater & Film program cost is $50; piano class rates are $120 per month for 1 student, $180 per month for 2 students, $270 per month for 3 students, and $350 per month for 4 students; the Professional Softball League team fee is $300 per player.
The Broadview Park District has been servicing the Broadview area for more than 50 years and operates five parks and three facilities with an outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, and multiple kid-friendly playgrounds. Playground areas are open from sunrise to sunset. The district states that its purpose is to economically and efficiently provide high quality programs, facilities, and services that lead to diversified recreational, educational, and social opportunities for all Broadview residents, with the aim of improving their quality of life through use of the Broadview Park District.
