Traveler Camp staff are CPR and First Aid certified and have over 40 hours of training in safety procedures, age development, activity planning, social media monitoring, meme making, and camper management. Brains & Games is led by qualified educators and is described as “Summer Camp with a Summer School Twist,” with academics in the morning and typical camp activities in the afternoon for children entering Kindergarten through entering 3rd Grade, including weekly walking field trips to the Brookfield Zoo and weekly swimming at Riverside Brookfield High School, with bus transportation available for Before and After Care.

Traveler Camp is for participants who have aged out of traditional day camps and goes out on a new adventure daily in the surrounding suburbs, with campers typically experiencing three field trips, one local adventure day, and one local day of service each week; Fridays at Traveler Camp are both local service day and pool/swimming day at Riverside-Brookfield High School. Camp Kiwanis offers a traditional camp experience with new themes daily for on-site activities, at least one off-site field trip day per week, and Friday pool/swimming days at Riverside-Brookfield High School, while Camp GROSS rotates campers through indoor and outdoor games and activities each day, with weekly field trips, swimming at Riverside Brookfield High School, and new themes daily for on-site activities.

Budding Brookies includes on-site water days, theme weeks, and enclosed outdoor play areas, and its activities are described as enhancing social skills and easing separation anxiety; campers in Budding Brookies must be toilet trained and independent in the bathroom. Camp Before/After Care registration covers both before and after camp and uses a relaxed, blended age/group mix of pre-selected activities, and bus transportation for Before and After Care is available to Brains & Games campers.

All emergency forms and documents for these camps are handled electronically through the ePACT system, which is used for family, emergency, and health information, waivers, consent forms, and daily attendance. Families must input their child’s information in ePACT and complete all required forms before the camper can attend, and once a family has completed ePACT for one program, they can verify and update it for future programs; ePACT also enables contactless sign-in and sign-out for parents and authorized pick-ups.

Traveler Camp includes one local day of service every week as part of its schedule. Fire Chief Jim Adams of the Brookfield Fire Department is listed as part of the leadership team.

For Camp Kiwanis, Camp GROSS, and Traveler Camp, families are asked to send a morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, water bottle, backpack, hat, and sunscreen each day. For Brains & Games, campers walk to the Brookfield Zoo on Wednesday afternoons and have 45 minutes of swimming at Riverside Brookfield School’s indoor pool on Friday afternoons. For Budding Brookies, families are asked to send a water bottle, sunscreen, and lunch daily, and to follow the activity calendar and parent notes for days when campers are asked to wear swim gear and bring a towel.
