The Schwaben AC Youth Soccer Program offers youth soccer activities that include regular programming, a summer camp, and a free tryout. All activities take place on Schwaben Grass Fields.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
Schwaben AC has 90 years of soccer history and will celebrate 100 years of Schwaben. The program is led by Director of Coaching Thomas Gansauge. Coaches in the program are expected to have at least 2 years of prior youth or club coaching experience and hold appropriate coaching qualifications with a minimum “D” license or above.
The program’s mission states that winning is a by-product of development and cites the U18/19 team as an example. The U18/19 Boys team won US Club Midwest Regionals and swept the Chicago Premier League in 2016, a result referred to as The Triple Crown, and most of that team has been together since U10, with some players together since U8. Schwaben AC has been approved as a US Club Soccer Players First-licensed club, one of only 82 clubs in the country, and Players First is built on five pillars: Club Development, Coaching Development, Player Development, Parent Engagement & Education, and Player Health & Safety.
Schwaben AC and Soccer Stars of Buffalo Grove have a partnership called “Schwaben Soccer Stars” to enhance the youth soccer experience for local families. This partnership expands the club’s player development pathway to include children ages 3–5 beginning in the fall and introduces the club’s youngest athletes to the game through a professionally delivered, age-appropriate curriculum that emphasizes skill development, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for soccer. Schwaben A.C. also has a partnership with Borussia Mönchengladbach. SGL Financial is the official jersey sponsor for the Schwaben AC youth program in a two-year partnership, and the Program Book will be handed out to all Schwaben players and will be available for free at all Schwaben events. Schwaben AC is based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.
