About

Vernon Township Summer Camp offers arts & crafts, games, sports, and swimming every day, weather permitting. Campers take part in lifeguard-instructed swimming lessons every third day as part of the regular schedule. Each week is built around a unique theme, and special guest entertainers join throughout the summer.

• Ages: 4–8 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., from June 15 through July 31, 2026 (no camp Friday, July 3)
• Price: Resident Fee: $1675. Non-resident Fee: $2100. All deposits must be paid by credit card, $100 (+ 3% credit card fee $3.00). All remaining camper fees $1,572 may be paid by credit card, check, or cash. Any credit card transaction is subject to a 3% surcharge.

The program includes an 8-year-old camp that is new for this summer. Swimming is scheduled every day, weather permitting, with lifeguard-instructed swimming lessons every third day. The camper-to-counselor ratio is 7:1 for 4-year-olds and 8:1 for campers ages 5–8. Once an age group is full, additional participants are placed on a waitlist. All registrations require a $100 nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit via credit card at the time of registration, and the full balance is due by April 24, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. All refunds are paid by check, and after May 8, 2026, refunds are only granted for medical reasons or if a replacement camper can be found by Vernon Township; once camp begins, refunds are prorated based on when the camper’s participation ended, and camp fees are not prorated for vacations. Campers should be fully toilet trained and able to dress themselves for daily swimming, and parents are asked to pack a lunch, water bottle, bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and rain gear, with clothing suited to mostly outdoor activities. Proof of age for each new camper and proof of residency for all campers must be provided and verified before the first day of camp. Vernon Township states that it is committed to offering a fun, engaging, and memorable summer camp experience for every child. The camp counselors and lifeguards are selected from responsible high school and college students who demonstrate strong leadership qualities, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children, and all staff complete background checks and training in childcare, first aid, and safety protocols.
