Burbank Park District Summer Day Camps offer full day Summer Day Camp and Fusion Fitness and Sports Camp options that include sports, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, swimming, and both inside and outside activities. Campers take trips to the library, and sports camps focus on drills and games of favorite sports. Both the day camp and sports camp spend the afternoon at the pool.

Counselors at Burbank Park District Summer Day Camps are described as highly trained, creative, energetic, and are CPR/AED certified. Fusion Fun Camp is described as allowing kids to stay active and be part of a close-knit community during the summer months, and half-day options are offered for ages 3–4. The Burbank Park District uses the mission statement “Where Fitness and Recreation Become One.” The district was first established as the Stickney Township Park District in 1955, was incorporated as the Burbank Park District in 1970, and its Fusion Recplex facility was completed and opened on September 7, 2013. The Fusion Recplex project was funded in part by a grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources’ Parks and Recreation Facility Construction Grant Program, and the Burbank Park District provides over 200 jobs in the Burbank community. Families are instructed to always send a lunch, reusable water bottle, swim suit, towel, and sunblock with each camper, and gym shoes and socks are mandatory, with all personal belongings labeled.
