Camp CILCA Outdoor Ministries

Camp CILCA Outdoor Ministries offers activities such as hiking, games, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, archery, creek walking, crafts, basketball, volleyball, softball, disc golf, fishing, Bible studies, campfire singing, and devotions. The program also includes specialty options such as Art, Drama, Athletics, and Survival, along with training sessions, scrimmages, drills, rehearsals, camping, Outdoor Education programs, and a Challenge Course.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer sessions run from late May through early August with a variety of multi-day camps, including Pathfinders, Bold Spirits, Dauntless Souls, Joyful Hearts, Intrepid Hearts, Mini sessions, Family Camp, Survival week, Aqua Week, Night Owl week, Generations sessions for younger children with an adult, and a Homecoming day; some sessions offer an optional half-week format, and all grade levels are based on the camper’s current grade for the 2025–2026 school year.

Camp CILCA Outdoor Ministries is led by Pastor Joshua Theilen. For over 70 years, Camp CILCA has served congregations, businesses, and families throughout Central Illinois. Its mission statement says that Camp CILCA exists to foster and strengthen faith in Jesus Christ and relationships with others in a unique outdoor setting. Camp CILCA was founded by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. The Chelsea Schofield Memorial Campership Fund has been established to assist those who cannot afford the full cost of camp, and donors help keep fees low, improve the quality and value of the ministry, and allow scholarships for those who cannot afford to pay the rates.
