Teen Programs includes activities such as cooking, basketball, foreign language, skills and hobbies, social programs, and trips. The program groups these activities together under one name for teens.
• Ages: 10–15 years old
The Channahon Park District has been serving the Channahon area since August 1971. Its mission is to provide enriching recreational activities that challenge and motivate young people to learn new things and to keep having fun. The Channahon Park District is a National Gold Medal winning agency and an Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency. The district covers more than 360 square miles and serves over 16,000 people in and around the Village of Channahon, Illinois. The People for Channahon Parks (PFCP) Foundation, formed in 2009, is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization that solicits support for the Channahon Park District through volunteerism, gifts and grants, memberships, and planned giving opportunities. A Board of Directors consisting of local community members acts to improve the quality of life for people utilizing the park system. The Partners in Fun Program was launched to recognize businesses and other organizations and agencies which provide significant support for community events and programs to the Channahon Park District on a yearly basis.
