Hot Shots Sports is owned and operated by founder Steve Duman and partner Steve Daly and has decades of operating experience originating in Illinois. The organization describes itself as America’s premier youth sports programming organization serving children, families, and partner facilities across the Chicago, Phoenix, and Milwaukee metros. It employs a full-time, full-benefit coaching staff rather than part-time contractors, and every coach completes background checks and holds CPR certification. Hot Shots Sports carries comprehensive insurance with partner facilities named as additional insured and provides dedicated Site Supervisors at every program for facility partners. Its mission states a strong passion to use sports to positively impact children’s lives, viewing every interaction as an opportunity to build self-esteem and growth, with the goal of helping young players find the best versions of themselves and create a foundation of self-confidence. The organization partners with park districts, schools, community centers, private facilities, faith-based organizations, and other groups to deliver sports classes, camps, leagues, birthday parties, and school programming, including gym classes, enrichment, recess, and before- and after-school options. Summer classes are open with classes for all ages in over a hundred locations, and the organization notes that it is not a franchise and maintains hands-on executive oversight.
