Red Kite Classes and Camps create dynamic learning experiences for youth on the autism spectrum and other neurodivergent learners, and Red Kite is an adaptive theater program for young people on the autism spectrum and other neurodivergent learners. The primary pillar of the Red Kite curriculum is social-emotional learning (SEL), utilizing sensory drama games, and Red Kite classes engage in creative play and sensory experiences to encourage students to connect with their unique body, voice, imagination, and with the community around them. In Red Kite Workshop: Puppetry, students take on the roles of both designer and performer, explore more advanced and theatrical styles of puppetry, and share a mini puppetry showcase for family and friends on the last day of class. During Camp Red Kite, campers explore drama, music, and visual arts, rotate through engaging arts classes with their age-appropriate small groups, and focus on growing campers' sense of community, imaginative thinking, and self-confidence, with family and friends invited on the last day to enjoy scenes, songs, costumes and more created by campers. Masks are welcome but not required during Camp Red Kite, and financial assistance is available for Camp Red Kite.
