CervantesKids Spanish Courses is part of the Children Spanish Courses offered by Instituto Cervantes. The program is connected to activities such as a placement test, an online placement test, a Book Club, and DELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language Exams).
Instituto Cervantes is a non-profit organization founded by the Government of Spain in 1991. Its mission is to promote Spanish language teaching as well as that of Spain’s co-official languages, in addition to fostering knowledge of the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries throughout the world. The Instituto is the organization of reference around the world for the teaching training of Spanish as a second language and counts with the Centro de Formación de Profesores en Alcalá de Henares (Training Centre for Teachers) in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), birth city of Miguel de Cervantes. It organizes the DELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language Exams) and issues official Spanish Language Certificates and Diplomas. In Chicago, the Institute collaborates with museums, galleries, theaters, publishers, and other cultural institutions from Illinois, as well as institutions from Spain and Latin America. The organization is present in almost over 70 cities from 40 countries spread out in the five continents, offers online registration, and offers membership with savings on courses, events, and exclusive benefits.
