About
Illinois Action for Children Early Learning Programs offers Early Learning Center experiences that use a play-based curriculum called The Creative Curriculum®. The program includes home visiting and parent education, and the home visiting service provides educational tools in the home. Resources are created for parents, teachers, and the community to support these early learning experiences, with a focus on preparing young children for kindergarten and beyond.
Illinois Action for Children Early Learning Programs states as its mission that it has made it a mission to provide every child and family with the learning tools necessary to give them an advantage. The programs are funded through the Office of Head Start (OHS) and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), and the website is supported by Grant Number 05CH011751 from the Office of Head Start within the Administration for Children and Families, a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The programs are dedicated to providing quality educational services to young children across the Southern and Western Suburban Area of Chicago.
