About

XS Tennis Summer Camps include tennis skills and drills, organized match play, physical training, academic enrichment, basketball, maker space time, strength and agility work, and classroom point construction and strategy sessions. Camp activities take place on both indoor and outdoor courts, and players use age-appropriate rackets, balls, and court sizes. Daily court assignments are determined by challenge ladder results based on player performance.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., with registration available for a full 8-week session or on a week-by-week basis; Week 9 requires a separate registration

The camp includes 20 hours each week of on-court tennis training and 10 hours of strength and agility. During the summer months, competitive tennis players can spend a week or more training at the XS Tennis Village through the XSTEF Summer Camps for local youth and high-performance tennis players. High Performance Tennis Camp players train with coaches using a system that has created numerous college-level tennis players, a US Open Champion, and a top 10 WTA professional. Students in the Academy are grouped based on Universal Tennis Ratings (UTR), and the year-round tennis players program is for juniors who aspire to obtain a district, sectional, or national ranking. The Junior Elite tennis camp is described as one of the world’s best summer camp tennis experiences, and all juniors must be members before signing up for lessons, with junior memberships costing $300 per year. All registrations must be done online, and a membership for the junior is required before registering for camp.

XS Tennis and Education Foundation is a registered not-for-profit organization with 501(c)3 tax-exempt status with the United States Internal Revenue Service. XS Tennis provides scholarships to low-income students and youth living in CHA public housing. Families are asked to send children with a tennis racket, water or Gatorade, a bagged lunch and afternoon snack, non-marking shoes, and sunblock, plus a tennis journal for High Performance Tennis Camp, and all players need a large water bottle and a towel with their name on their items.
