Clinton Community Ball Park, 129 Beech St, Clinton, IL N0M 1L0
About
Clinton Minor Baseball Camp focuses on baseball skills including hitting, base running, throwing, and fielding. The camp gives children the chance to work on these specific areas of the game in an organized setting.
• Ages: 7–15 years old
• Schedule: July 7 & 8, 2025
The Clinton Minor Baseball Camp was founded in 2012 by Member of Parliament for Huron-Bruce, Ben Lobb. The 11th Annual Clinton Minor Baseball Camp will be held July 7 and 8, 2025, following three successive sold-out camps in Clinton that led to an expansion of the camp to Kincardine in 2016. The camp is described as the 11th annual Clinton Minor Baseball Camp and is now entering its 9th year.
The 2025 Camp Head Instructor is Mark Brew, who is recognized as one of the most successful college coaches in the state of Tennessee. He is beginning his 19th season as head coach of the Lee University Flames, directed his first seven Lee teams to the NAIA College World Series before leading the transition to NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference in 2014, has been named a conference Coach of the Year three times (2008, 2010, 2021), a Region Coach of the Year six times (2008–2013), NAIA National Coach of the Year in 2008, and SSAC Men’s Coach of the Year for the 2008 and 2011 campaigns. During his tenure, 33 players have been drafted or signed MLB contracts, including two who have played in the Major Leagues, and 40 players have signed contracts with Independent Professional teams.
The camp’s stated mission is to provide a great opportunity for the region to grow and promote the game of baseball and get kids active. Each year the camp has had over 100 boys and girls from Huron, Bruce, Perth, Middlesex, Wellington, and Lambton counties attend, making it a regional event. Every year Ben Lobb has secured sponsors to make the camp affordable so all kids have the chance to participate. Online registration is available to reserve a spot.
