DeKalb AYSO Region 193

DeKalb AYSO Region 193 offers youth soccer for children ages 6 to 18. The program includes weekly practices set by the coach, Saturday morning games for U-12 and under, and Upper Division inter-region games on Saturday mornings for ages 12 and above. Registration includes a team jersey, shorts, socks, and supplemental insurance for any injury that occurs during an AYSO-sanctioned event.

Programs

• Youth soccer program — 6-18 · All U-12 and under games are played on Saturday mornings; weekly practices are scheduled at the discretion of the coach. Fall season practices start in early August and games begin in mid-August, running through the last weekend in October.
• Upper Division soccer — 12 and above · Upper Division games are inter-region games and are played on Saturday mornings. These games generally start and end a week or two earlier than the regular season.

About the provider

The program was founded over 35 years ago to bring soccer to any child who wanted to play soccer. It is run and operated exclusively by volunteers, including board members, referees, coaches, team parents, and field set-up. The program incorporates players from DeKalb, Malta, Cortland, Waterman, and Shabbona, and Upper Division teams travel to surrounding communities including Amboy, Genoa, Rochelle, and Sycamore.

Early bird registration takes place in April and May; after that, registration returns to the regular price and players may need to be placed on a waiting list. All U-12 and under games are played at Kiwanis Park, located at 391 Fairview Avenue in DeKalb, IL. Upper Division games are inter-region games, with some games played at Kiwanis Park and other games in surrounding communities. There are no games on Labor Day weekend.
