H-F Park District Summer Camps

H-F Park District Summer Camps include time at the pool, field trips, outdoor time, and hands-on activities. Camp options include Stomping Grounds, Camp Discovery, Nature Camp, Hobo Jungle, and sports camps that feature tennis, golf, volleyball, Chicago White Sox baseball, and flag football. At Hobo Jungle, campers learn how to use basic carpentry tools like a hammer and saw while building full-size themed structures.

The H-F Park District states that “Kids need camp. Give yours the opportunity to grow, explore, learn and have fun with us this summer. Summer should be more than watching T.V. and playing video games.” Hobo Jungle is described as a community favorite for kids to have a unique experience learning how to use basic carpentry tools while building full-size themed structures. The H-F Park District notes that all-day camps, sports camps, and one-week long specialty camps are offered, including Stomping Grounds for a classic camp experience, Camp Discovery as an introduction to summer camp for ages 3 to 5, Nature Camp focused on the outdoors, Hobo Jungle for carpentry projects, and sports camps that include tennis, golf, volleyball, Chicago White Sox baseball, and flag football.
