• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–5:30pm; camp begins in early June
Kids-N-Fitness Summer Camp uses a Summer of Imagination curriculum with more than 20 weekly themes. School-age campers take part in both in-house and off-site field trips, while younger campers participate in on-site experiences only. All campers receive a t-shirt, and school-age campers receive a kit that includes a t-shirt, backpack, and ID wristband. Families receive daily digital communication, including photos of the child’s activities and updates during meal and nap time, and the program offers parent-teacher conferences. The program provides curriculum-based childcare for children from 6 weeks to school-age, offers full-time daycare programs only, and follows classroom ratios that meet state licensing guidelines.
The staff includes experienced, caring teachers trained in early childhood education. One of the Center Directors at Kids-N-Fitness East, Carrie Dilbeck, has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and belongs to several early childhood education groups in Illinois and nationwide. The leadership team includes Whitney and Carrie Dilbeck, both Center Directors at Kids-N-Fitness East.
Most families pack a labeled water bottle, sunscreen, and a change of clothes, and school-age families may receive additional reminders for field trip days. Children are asked to wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing, and their camp t-shirt on field trip days.
Kids-N-Fitness has stated that its mission is to offer fun and loving care each day through curriculum-based childcare, encourage each child’s individuality, boost their confidence, and help them discover their unique strengths, with a focus on age-appropriate learning and laying the groundwork for future success. Kids-N-Fitness has also been featured on WCIA’s ciLiving segment.
