About
Knox College 4 Kids is a two-week summer enrichment program called Knox College for Kids that takes place on weekdays and includes classes designed and taught by Knox students, faculty, and local educators. Each summer, the program welcomes dozens of area students in grades 3 through 8 for two weeks of classes. Youth entering grades 3–8 indicate courses of interest when registering and are placed into three courses, one during each of the three periods, and then follow their own individual schedule like college students.
• Ages: 6–13 years old
• Schedule: Two-week summer enrichment program held on weekdays, July 6th through July 17th, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Price: The registration fee is projected to be $225 and covers the cost of materials, a Knox College 4 Kids t-shirt, and general program expenses.
For participants entering grades 1–2, Knox College 4 Kids offers a “Junior” program that organizes children into groups led by a designated fellow. Fellows greet youth participants upon their arrival each day, provide logistical support, facilitate morning meetings with small groups during the daily gathering time, and serve as teaching assistants.
