Children’s Art Classes was established in 1997 and offers a nine-month comprehensive curriculum that covers more than 40 varieties of art, including art history, color theory, shapes, lines, color values, and design. The program is age-based, focuses on teaching technique while introducing students to many different artistic applications, and allows students to continue year after year without repeating a project. All teachers are CAC trained, and the program has been named Art Classes Provider of the Year by Education Insider.

Children’s Art Classes hosts an end-of-the-year art show and offers gift cards. The program also offers a 2-hour Birthday Package that includes a 1-hour 15-minute art project, such as painting on canvas or working with clay, along with 45 minutes of party time; the studio provides all supplies for the art project and an additional space for the party, while families bring their own treats of choice. The studio serves families from Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, Elburn, South Elgin, Carpentersville, Elgin, Hampshire, Campton Hills, North Aurora, Saint Charles, West Chicago, and other nearby communities.

According to the program, kids enrolled in Children’s Art Classes become more engaged at school, see improved grades and school performance, and the program has a 100% graduation rate. The program states that art classes give a therapeutic outlet for emotions and difficult life challenges, that kids gain self-confidence and achieve recognition for their hard work, and that students join a community, develop friendships, and feel comfortable in themselves. The program also reports that students receive art scholarships or pursue higher education in art, and that it promotes “art for life,” providing students an outlet for future art business ownership or careers.

The mission of Children’s Art Classes is to provide a comprehensive art education program that enriches lives, raises self-esteem, and improves the academic performance of its students. The program notes that Fall 2025–2026 classes are now open.
