Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois Camps include Day Camp, Overnight Camp, family camp options, high adventure, and horseback riding. Day Camp is for girls in kindergarten and above, with activities on two or more consecutive days for three hours or more. Overnight Camp at Camp Torqua has something to offer for girls of all grade levels and is girl-led, with girls planning many of the activities with their counselors or volunteers based on the resources at the campsite.

The Girl Scout Experience Fund (GSEF) supports each registered girl member of Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois so that she may experience activities that build courage, confidence, and character. Girl Scout Day Camp is held in a variety of locations across southern Illinois, and these Day Camps vary in length and age groups served. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify, and GSEF grant requests are not income based and can be applied for in conjunction with Financial Assistance requests. GSEF requests must be submitted by a Troop Leader or Treasurer, or a Service Unit Manager or Treasurer. The council shop can set up a Trading Post at Day Camp when a Trading Post Request Form is completed. Overnight Camp Staff positions at Camp Torqua are available for energetic, caring, upbeat individuals age 18 and older in a variety of roles.
