About
Restoration Ministries After-School Program and Summer Day Camp offers homework help, tutoring, and access to enrichment activities. Children take part in Chess Club, sports, field trips, college tours, Garden Club, Bike Club, flag football, and tennis. The program also provides nutritious meals, and students visit the Bread for the Head library, which is filled with 2,000 new books and serves as a free bookstore where they can take a book home weekly and keep it as their own.

• Schedule: After School Program meets Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.; Summer Day Camp runs Monday through Friday for six weeks
A professional reading specialist and a math teacher provide tutoring and instruction in the program. More than 100 children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade participate in the After School Program. Summer activities expose Harvey youth to new experiences, develop their talents, and increase their knowledge. Restoration Ministries states that its mission is to restore hope to people while bringing lasting change to the community. Since 1988 Restoration Ministries has helped those in need discover a renewed sense of hope, rebuild their lives and communities, and restore their faith in God, self, and the goodness of others. Through 22 programs, Restoration Ministries provides life-changing opportunities to at-risk and underprivileged youth, men and women with histories of addiction, and families struggling in poverty, and offers community resources like a food pantry. The leadership team includes Todd Schultz (President & CEO), Karen Vrdolyak (VP, Development & Administration), Brooke Goulooze (Director, Tabitha House), Pamela Banks (Manager, Youth Programs), Mary Crowley (Director, Sullivan Arts Center), Patti Ahern (LPC Counselor), Dan Roberts (Director, Food Programs), and Maribeth Vrdolyak (Payroll/AP Admin, Development Associate).
