Youth Programming at The Community House

Youth Programs at The Community House are part of a nonprofit organization that offers athletic programs, artistic expression, counseling services, education resources, and volunteer opportunities. The programs include fine arts options for all ages, recreation services such as art classes, athletics, life skill classes, and clubs, as well as childcare services that include before and after the bell programs. Youth Programs at The Community House also offer evidence-based counseling, wellness, and support services on a sliding scale for children, young adults, and families, and currently have registration available for Flag Football and Summer Day Camp.

The Community House began in 1941 and serves individuals of all ages and backgrounds in Hinsdale, Illinois, and the surrounding suburbs. Its mission states that it is a nonprofit organization that serves as a hub of the community and focuses on growth, connection, and support opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds. The Community House hosts educational programs such as Hinsdale Community Preschool, recreational programs such as Jody Harrison Basketball, theatrical events, and social events such as soccer photos, and it also hosts weddings and corporate events as a rental venue. One testimonial describes a “great summer camp” with caring leaders, fun events, and inclusion of kids with special needs, and another describes The Community House as an iconic gathering place that hosts educational, recreational, theatrical, and social events.
